It is a system that connects the "intention" of the driver to the automation through the electric steering system (EPS) interface. Based on information such as driver operation as well as road and traffic conditions (detected by the vehicle sensors), a steering reaction torque or vibrations is computed to inform the driver. Steering assistance based on this "intuitive communication between human and automation" realizes an unprecedented sense of trust, comfort and safety.When the system detects a manual intervention during automated driving, it smoothly reflects the driver intention by steering the vehicle while synchronizing the automation with that intention.
